Catherine Bath Fine Art

I notice what others walk right by. The natural elements of wind, storms, sand and time on walls and surfaces, mostly in seaside locations. Then, in the studio, I harmonize and strengthen the composition, color, contrast and other elements to create a powerful visual statement of Natural Abstraction.

I live in Andrew Wyeth country in Chester County, Pennsylvania.  I travel a lot and enjoy shoreline areas, waterfront towns and port cities the most!  The weather worn land and abandoned structures call to me.
I preserve them as "natural abstractions"
in my artwork.  Often, if I go back, my beautiful weathered walls are no longer there!  Especially in UNESCO sites preservation development is underway.  An example of this is the UNESCO site in Panama City.  They are preserving historic buildings, but not the artistic weathered paint and cracks!
